Our Core Program

A learning journey that is dignified, functional, and individualized to each young adult’s unique strengths and support needs.

Rather than fitting individuals into a rigid timetable, we build custom daily activities around four core pillars designed to expand their "GLAD"

The Four Pillars

01

Functional Communication & Coping Skills

For individuals working through communication gaps or behavioral barriers, this pillar provides the vital keys to personal freedom. We focus intensely on four critical daily capabilities:

  • Expressive "Voice": Establishing a reliable way to communicate immediate wants and choices—whether through vocal speech, precise signing, or digital communication devices (AAC).

  • Functional Boundaries: Teaching individuals how to safely reject an item, ask for a break, or say "no" calmly without needing to resort to a behavioral crisis.

  • Real-World Resilience: Systematically coaching the tools needed to tolerate waiting, accept a "not right now," and transition smoothly away from preferred activities.

  • Essential Cooperation: Practicing cooperation with necessary, everyday health, safety, and self-care routines.

02

Living Skills

An independent adult life goes beyond basic self-care—it means having the practical skills to navigate home, social settings, and daily adult responsibilities. Because our clients come to us with varying skills and goals, we adapt this pillar to cover everything from foundational daily routines to higher-level independence and work readiness.

  • Personal Care, Health & Home: Mastering dignified personal hygiene, grooming, dressing for different occasions, and running domestic routines like laundry, simple meal preparation, and kitchen safety.

  • Financial & Digital Literacy: Learning to handle money safely—from making small hawker or grocery purchases to managing EZ-Link balances—alongside practical phone and tech skills for scheduling, safety, and staying in touch with family.

  • Social Navigation & Community Boundaries: Practicing real-world social expectations, understanding personal boundaries, reading social cues, and communicating effectively across different public and group settings.

  • Vocational Readiness & Task Execution: Building the stamina, attention, and work habits needed for structured tasks—focusing on multi-step instructions, organization, time management, and collaborative team roles.

Purposeful Movement & Community Integration

"Purposeful Movement" means that every physical activity our young adults engage in has a clear objective—whether it is indoor fitness tailored for health and sensory regulation, or functional outdoor movement within the Singapore community.

  • Daily Local Missions: We build real-world responsibility into every day. Selected clients take on the structured role of walking to nearby neighborhood shops to purchase snacks or lunch elements for their peers.

  • Structured Physical Wellness: Daily schedules include structured indoor and outdoor fitness, movement routines, and coordinated exercises within the safety of our center to support wellness and sensory regulation.

  • Street & Transit Safety: Practicing pedestrian safety, crossing roads attentively, and navigating public transportation routes.

Social Engagement & Hobby Exploration

Socialization and leisure should never be left to chance. We actively structure opportunities for participants to form meaningful interactions and build recreational habits that enrich their personal time.

  • Structured Peer Interactions: Setting explicit interaction goals and facilitating paired or small-group activities tailored to shared interests.

  • Inclusivity: Designing meaningful, active roles—such as managing activity materials or co-leading group tasks—so every individual actively participates regardless of their skills.

  • Hobby & Leisure Exploration: Systematically introducing age-appropriate recreational activities (music, art, tabletop games, sports) to give clients genuine choices in how they spend their free time.
